In-Transit Opt-In List Building

I’ve got an idea.

Make sure you read to the end of this blog to get the full picture.

But before I dive into it, let us set the scenario.

Let us suppose you’re an aspiring Internet Marketer.

You’ve set up a blog to review your favourite affiliate products. Following some guru recommendations, you have put up quite a convincing opt-in form.

You are very proud of your opt-in form because it lies in the top-right corner of your blog under an attractive curled-up ‘Peel-Away Ad’.

Each informative product review that you post to your blog carries friendly text inviting your blog visitor to ‘click here for more info’ or something similar. Behind the text, your affiliate link awaits to whisk the visitor to the vendor site where you may, hopefully, earn a well-deserved commission.

Being the determined marketer that you are, you go ahead and implement all sorts of strategies to drive hordes of traffic to your blog.

However, after a while, you are not happy.

What is wrong?

Well, according to the tracking statistics, you are actually getting the visitors and some of them are indeed clicking the links, just as you intended.

However, you are not making the sort of affiliate commissions other marketers claim to make. Their salesletters are full of screenshots of ClickBank and PayPal accounts overflowing with commission payments.

How do those guys do it? You ask yourself.

One other disquieting observation, you realise that it has been five weeks since you installed the opt-in form behind that eye-catching ‘Peel Away Ad’. But no one seems remotely interested in that ‘Amazing Traffic Breakthrough Report Worth $97′ which you are giving away for free in exchange for an opt-in subscription.

You are not a quitter. You resolve to redouble your efforts. After a number of forum visits and exchanges, you feel you’ve got the answer. It comes in the form of an ‘Affiliate Link Cloaker’.

Yes, someone on one of the forums has convinced you that you have been losing affiliate commissions. The explanation makes total sense to you. You gladly part with $67 to purchase the software.

You are happy with the software. It is easy to use.

The statistics show that a lot more people are clicking your cloaked links than did the uncloaked. But after six weeks, you have been credited with only eight sales. In the same period, only four more people have signed-up and downloaded the ‘Amazing Traffic Breakthrough Report Worth $97′.

Guess what?

I have an idea!

I know exactly what you need to:
1. Explode the number of your Opt-In subscribers.
2. Get your site visitor to sign-up for your free report WHILE they are on the vendor’s site!

How?

Well, for now, I shall restrict us to the first point mentioned above.

I want to show you how to get your visitor to sign-up for your free report while he or she is in-transit to the vendor’s website.

We are talking about two items here.

The first item is that we want the visitor to sign-up to our list. The reward for signing-up can be anything. It can be a free report or free membership to a paid site or even some special discount in a forthcoming product launch.

The second item is that the visitor must proceed to our affiliated vendor site.

These items need not be connected. They can be totally independent of each. It’s all up to you.

Ready to see how it’s done?

Okay, let’s imagine I’ve been blogging about Private Label Rights products. Imagine I’ve been telling you about a wonderful website called ‘PLR Wholesaler’ where you can obtain heaps of great PLR products for absolutely nothing.

Having driven my point home, in other words, when I’m sure I’ve made you see the excellent benefits that being a member of this marvellous free membership site will bring you, I would then ask you to act right away. I would ask you to click my affiliate link so you would go and become a ‘PLR Wholesaler’ member.

My actual affiliate link, considering that we are doing this for real, is:
http://plrwholesaler.com/download/clk.php?pid=2&a=9965
(link deliberately not clickable)

If I was to give this link to someone, as it is, they would probably choose to use:
http://plrwholesaler.com/
(link deliberately not clickable)

As far as the web visitor is concerned, the two links go to the same place. Sadly, the shortened version denies me my affiliate earnings because my affiliate id has been stripped out. Hence the importance of cloaking. There are some people out there who don’t want you to receive your well-deserved commission, possibly out of spite.

So, instead of using my affiliate link as given, I shall run it through the cloaker. In a little while, I shall show you what the cloaked link looks like.

Remember that my cloaked link must serve a dual purpose?

That’s what I said. It must primarily take you to ‘PLR Wholesaler’ so you can sign-up as a free member. As a member, you can create your own free reports that you can give to your blog visitors to get them to join your list.

While you are in transit to ‘PLR Wholesaler’, the secondary purpose of my cloaked link will be realised. It will pop-up a time-sensitive mini squeeze page.

In my example, I am not offering you a free report. Instead, I’m going to ask you to opt in to my ‘Priority Notifification List’ so that you will be able to purchase my product at a discounted price when the product is released.

What is the product?

The product is called ‘Squeezad Optin Wizard’.
I have given it my original affiliate link, namely,
http://plrwholesaler.com/download/clk.php?pid=2&a=9965
(link deliberately not clickable)

Then I have asked it to cloak the link into:
http://www.solavar.com/recommends/PLR-Wholesaler
(link deliberately not clickable)

There is no mystery about the cloaked link. However, Squeezad Optin Wizard is more than just a link cloaker. Tell it where your opt-in form is located and the Wizard will pop-up that form during re-direction.

Go on, have a go. Click the link at the end of this blog.
Sign-up to PLR-Wholesaler as a free member. The site is loaded with great products.

On your way there, sign-up to the Squeezad ‘Priority Notification List so that you can get yourself an ‘early-bird’ copy of this powerful product when it becomes available.

Here is the link you need to click (it is clickable)
