What is to Optinize?
To ‘optinize’ (or ‘optinise’ in UK English) is to endow a resource with the ability to capture contact details, to give a blog, a web page, even a video, the power to get people to opt-in to your list.
In a self-hosted blog, a blog that you host in your own webspace, like solavar.com, there is no problem embedding an opt-in form somewhere in the blog to capture contact details.
The story is very different when your content is hosted elsewhere in places like Squidoo, HubPages and WordPress.com (hosted WordPresss blog platform) .
